Microsoft’s $299 Lumia 650 Is Now Available

Microsoft has announced that the “sleek and productive” Lumia 650 is available to buy from today for $299.

With a metal frame and 5-inch HD OLED display, Microsoft says the the Lumia 650 provides “sophisticated design at an affordable price” and is perfect for both business and personal use.

Powering Windows 10 and the latest Microsoft Office apps, the device is designed to protect against modern security threats to keep both personal and company data secure with features including device encryption and device wipe.

“One of the guiding principles of the devices vision is that it’s not just about the device itself, but what you’re able to get done with it,” Samuli Hänninen, General Manager, Windows Devices Group said. “We’re extremely proud of the Lumia 650 and believe it will quickly be seen as the device that provides the perfect balance between work and personal needs.”

The Lumia 650 also features a 5MP wide-angle, front-facing camera and Microsoft’s flagship imaging algorithms. The 8MP rear-facing camera includes options for rich capture and living images enabling you always to capture the memory as it happens.

Lumia 650 runs the latest Microsoft Office apps right out of the box, allowing you to create and edit documents on-the-go and sync them to the cloud via OneDrive. It’s also perfect for picking up on email and an important presentation during your commute. And of course, it comes with Cortana.

You can pick one up from today for $299 and at the Microsoft Flagship Store Sydney, online or at JB Hi-Fi, Big W and Australia Post stores nationwide.

The handset will also be available with Optus from 6 June.
