The 1925 silent version of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney is one of horror’s most celebrated films, and deservedly so. This celebration will continue this Saturday, April 30, when Dark Hall Mansion releases this gorgeous, gothic poster for the film by artist Nicolas Delort.
It will be available in multiple versions, but here are the two main ones.
I think what I love about this poster is how the main characters aren’t the focus. They’re there, but off centre and small in the frame, dominated by the menace of the opera itself. It’s a unique, striking take on a classic.
The poster, which will be available in five editions, will be available at 5:30am AEST on April 30. Visit this link for pricing and information.
