The First Official Look at the Flash/Supergirl TV Crossover Is Also a Fun Easter Egg

CBS has finally revealed the first official details about the crossover between the two happiest superheroes on television, along with one of those loveable promo pics that are also homages to classic comic book covers. Here's the brief synopsis of the upcoming episode "Worlds Finest" confirming that yes, Barry and Kara will go toe-to-toe with Silver Banshee and Livewire:

Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home, on SUPERGIRL.

The fun bit is the full poster, which is a complete recreation of Superman #199 from August 1967, the first time Superman and Flash ever raced against each other (spoilers: it was a dead heat):

Only a three cent price increase in 49 years?! Not bad, Supergirl team. Not bad at all. "Worlds Finest" airs in the US on March 28.

Well that explains how they're keeping the TV and movie universes separate.
    Which was kind of expected.
Assuming of course Supergirl is in the same universe as the new Superman and BVS movies.

Not the same universe as Man of Steel and BVS, the events on krypton are different
