Even The Empire’s Elite Soldiers Fall In Love, According To Bara Heiða’s Stormtrooper

In Bara Heiða’s track ‘Stormtrooper, an Imperial stormtrooper is left behind in a strange world and finds love. It’s a cute, entertaining music video.

Bara Heiða is a folk/pop band that hails from Reykjavik, Iceland, and they have produced a bunch of great songs with some fantastic music videos.

The band describes the song as a metaphorical one for opposites attracting:

The background story of the lyrics is that of a Stormtrooper getting deserted on an unknown planet. There he meets a woman and they fall in love. Later, he has to return to battle and she is left behind, with their child.

The song is a metaphor for two people who are fundamentally different. One being idealistic and of the sky while the other is practical and of the land and how they can only be together for a short while, before drifting apart.

The cool thing here is that the stormtrooper in question was supplied by the 501st Legion: Tómas Árnason, aka TK-22304 of the 501st Legion Icelandic Outpost stars as the titular lost Stormtrooper.
