Lindsay Diaz and Alan Cutter were the proud owners of two halves of a duplex in Rowlett, Texas. Sadly it had been damaged by tornadoes over Christmas, but it was ready to be repaired so things were looking up. Then a demolition company tore it down by accident.

According to WFAA, the Billy L. Nabors Demolition company was supposed to take down a house one block away. But one of its employees has since sent images to the owners showing that Google Maps places the pin for the building the firm was supposed to tear down on the site of their property.
The confusion was no doubt heightened by the fact that 7601 Cousteau Drive was supposed to be torn down, while the property that was demolished sat at 7601 Calypso Drive.
As Engadget points out, Apple Maps seems not to make the same mistake.
