The comedian who starred in The Office and Hot Tub Time Machine will be joining USA’s hacker drama, which is supposed to get even more intense in season two.
Variety reports that Craig Robinson has signed on as a recurring guest star for the next season of Mr Robot, which started filming yesterday in New York and is set to premiere this winter. He’ll play Ray, a neighbourhood local who’ll apparently have some kind of kinship with Elliot (Rami Malek). It could be a more serious role. But if Mr Robot‘s incredible freshman season was any indication — what with all its murder, substance abuse, big business cyber attacks, familial turmoil and general dystopian malaise — any laughs Robinson brings could go a long way.
