Batman v Superman
Ben Affleck says his first scene in the film is like something out of a horror movie:
Exactly. It’s like out of Se7en or Aliens or something, which is a really different vibe. My son still watches the Adam West Batman [TV series]. It’s a far cry from where it started.

Zack Snyder says that Wonder Woman isn’t in that much of the film, but promises that she has the movie’s coolest moments:
The one thing that Wonder Woman does get the opportunity to do, because she’s not as deeply intertwined in the story, is the cool stuff. Like when you just get to show up and be cool, that’s pretty much what she gets to do.

Midnight Special
Jeff Nichols discusses the movie as the leanest script he’s ever written:
The goal is really just to write characters that are honest. In a script you have two things: You have lines of action, you have lines of dialogue, both of which are behaviour.The way your body language is when you move into a room, that’s lines of action, that’s behaviour. And it’s really clear for writers, like, ‘Oh, yeah, I would never put backstory in the lines of action because no one’s ever going to see it.’ Well, why would you put it in the lines of dialogue? It’s the same thing. The way I speak and how I speak defines my behaviour to you.
And so, really, it’s this kind of temperance as a writer. As much as I might want to inject the backstory or the history or some cool anecdote into a scene, I don’t get to if it’s not something you would naturally say. So it was really just a style of writing that suited the genre. That suited the development of mystery. But honestly, that was more about situations that I put the characters in. I would have picked different situations had I needed them to convey different information.

Iron Man 4
Robert Downey Jr. says a fourth Tony Stark movie is unlikely — describing Civil War as the character’s true fourth film:
I don’t think that’s in the cards. In a way it’s Cap 3 but for me it’s like my little Iron Man 4. And then it’s back to the thing we all recognise. Everything pulls over to the side of the road when the thunder of an Avengers thing comes through because that’s how it is until it changes. If it changes.
Captain America: Civil War
The Russo Brothers took to Facebook to tease the sound mixing for the film, and in the process, teasing an extended version of the scene where General Ross discusses the collateral damage caused by the Avengers’ actions. Also, The Vision is in a business suit.
Supergirl
Eddie McClintock has been cast in the show as Colonel James Harper, making his debut in next week’s episode of the series. In the comics, Harper (a cop rather than a military figure) is the alter-ego of the superhero Guardian, a Captain America-esque shield-wielding hero who operated at peak human strength and agility.
There’s no direct confirmation that Harper will become his heroic identity just yet, but don’t be surprised if there’s more to his appearance next week going forward. [Comicbook.com]
Meanwhile producer Ali Adler discusses whether or not the cavalcade of “super pets” from the comics will appear on the show:
Comet the Superhorse, Streaky the Supercat — we love them all. I think that we just hope to continue with this tremendous cast and make episodes for many years to come. We’ll exploit every little thing, I promise. We’ll get in there and turn it on its head and try to make something. I mean, we’ve talked about Streaky. So yeah, definitely we’ll embrace all the canon.

The Walking Dead
Steven Yeun hypes up the arrival of Negan on the show, discussing the character’s… unpleasant relationship with Glenn in the comics:
For me, his arrival is awesome. We’ve been waiting for this person for a long time, and in the comic books, he in a way brings a level of stakes that are kind of unmatched. And so, for me, for Negan to come into the show is, to say nothing less, f — ing awesome.
I know people are going to always go, ‘Negan kills Glenn in the comics,’ but rest assured that we don’t necessarily do what’s in the comics. There’s a clear divide in the way we tell a story on television, and the way that story is told in the comics, because it has to be. And everybody will have to see what happens, but we definitely tell our story in the way that television should be told.
Westworld
J.J. Abrams, confirming that he doesn’t intend to return for future Star Wars films, says he’s currently focusing on the currently-on-production-hiatus Westworld:
Westworld’ is one of those things I’ve wanted to work on for so long. I had a meeting probably 21 years ago with Michael Crichton [who wrote and directed the 1973 original film] about doing this. And it’s taken a long time to get this going.
