Smartphone Leak Roundup: Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC One M10 And LG G5

The smartphone leaks have been coming thick and fast this month, though impending releases can have that effect. The hot devices right now — thanks to the Mobile World Congress — are the Samsung Galaxy S7, the HTC One M10 and the LG G5.

LG G5

Just today, VentureBeat’s Evan Blass (former @evleaks) provided the above front / rear shot of the G5, though the tweet it featured in has since been removed. In its place, Blass delivered the following:

As for specifications, there are no official details, but it’s speculated the phone will come with a 5.3-inch 2560 x 1440 screen, 3GB RAM and a Snapdragon 820 processor. While the phone should launch tomorrow or the day after, in step with this year’s Mobile World Congress, local availability is anyone’s guess, though March is the likely candidate.

HTC fans will be happy to hear (well, see) the following images of the upcoming smartphone, again provided by Blass.

According to Blass’ sources, the M10 will pack a Snapdragon 820, like the G5, along with 4GB RAM and a 5.1-inch 1440 x 2560 AMOLED screen. Prospective owners can apparently look forward to a 12 “UltraPixel” camera, because regular pixels just aren’t good enough these days.

As of writing, the HTC One M10 has a rumoured April / May release.

Samsung Galaxy S7

Rounding out the leaks is the Galaxy S7, which had its curved visage spoiled earlier this month.

Forbes’ Gordon Kelly recently dug up the below image of the device’s base that appears to show Samsung is sticking with micro-USB over controversial newcomer USB Type-C (as far as third-party cables are concerned).

In terms of hardware, the latest details point to a Snapdragon 820 chip, 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED display, 4GB RAM and a 3000mAh battery.

Like the G5, the Samsung S7 should launch in the next day or so for MWC, though expect a wait until March to get your hands on one.
