On Free-To-Air TV

Channel Seven has the rights to broadcast the Super Bowl, and its coverage starts at 10:00AM AEDT (Sydney time) — that’s right now. You can watch the Super Bowl live on Channel Seven in your region from 10:00AM to 4:00PM, although in some areas it will be shown on 7Mate.

Online, you can watch through the Plus7 website, which streams Seven’s main TV channel live, or via the Plus7 app for iOS or Android.

On Foxtel

Foxtel is showing Super Bowl 50 live on ESPN, with coverage running from 7:30AM AEDT all the way until the afternoon. If you have a cable subscription to Foxtel, this is the best way to watch the Super Bowl — that’s not a surprise, since sport is Foxtel’s biggest selling point in Australia.

You can’t watch ESPN for free on the Foxtel Go or Foxtel Play apps, but you can sign up for a fortnight’s free trial of the service and use that little loophole to watch the Super Bowl today — without having to spend a cent.

When’s The Kick-Off?

Super Bowl 50, the Denver Broncos versus the Carolina Panthers, kicks off at 10:30AM AEDT in Australia. The game usually runs for around three hours, and there’s a bunch of entertainment including a half-time show from Beyonce.
