Channel Nine has the rights to broadcast the Oscars in Australia, and it’s kicking off coverage from 12:30PM AEDT when the ceremony itself starts. You can watch the Oscars live on Channel Nine in your region from then.

Online

Channel Nine’s broadcast rights extend online, where it is showing the 88th Academy Awards through its 9Now streaming service. You can watch 9Now on your PC or laptop, and there are mobile apps for iOS and Android, but you’ll need to create a My9 account and login to watch the stream.

On Foxtel

If you have a Foxtel subscription, you can watch the Academy Awards live from 9:30AM by either flicking to the E! Entertainment channel or live streaming it through the Foxtel Go mobile app for iOS or Android. The ceremony starts at 12:30PM. E! will also be broadcasting its Oscars After Party event from 3:45pm.

If you have a US-based VPN, you can also watch the coverage through the official American network host ABC. You can watch on your smartphone with the WATCH ABC app for Android and iOS, or through your browser on ABC’s website here.
