Periscope Feeds Now Play In Your Twitter Timeline

Despite Twitter owning Periscope, the service’s live feeds only ever showed up in timelines as links that you had to click through to. Now that’s changed, with Periscope feeds appearing and playing with Twitter itself.

Twitter has announced that the new feature will roll out first in a newly updated version of its iOS app, allowing both live and replayed Periscope video to appear in the timeline. Tapping on a video preview will allow you to watch it within Twitter, but if you want to interact to comment or favourite it, you’ll have to head into Periscope itself. You can, of course, just favourite the tweet instead.
