Christmas 1992. I was 11 years old. I had literally stayed awake all night.
Why? Because I knew that, wrapped underneath the Christmas tree was a brand new Super Nintendo with Super Mario World, Street Fighter II and Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
That day was legit one of the greatest days of my life.
Which is why I relate to these videos so much. Tyler Esposito has a seemingly endless library of videos from his childhood — including the moments he got consoles for Christmas.
The above video is his most recent — the moment he got an NES for Christmas.
It’s interesting for me. I’m probably way too old to feel this excited about anything ever again.
But now I have a two year old, and his time is coming. I remember my Dad told me that he got to relive that Christmas feeling all over again with me and my brother, and that it was the same level of excitement watching kids lose their minds on Christmas morning. It’s weird I supposed, but I’m really looking forward to those moments.
