As part of the merchandising blitz for the original Star Wars, Topps released five series of trading cards tied to the film. Finding a complete set today that doesn’t cost a small fortune is all but impossible, unless you’re happy to settle with this new book featuring detailed scans of every last one.
Topps originally published the five sets in its Star Wars trading card series between 1977 and 1978, and this 548-page book features reprints of all 330 cards and 55 stickers. If you missed out on them the first time around, at just $27 this book is easily the cheapest way to add all these cards to your Star Wars collection.
If you’re a completist, though, you might be disappointed to learn the one thing Star Wars: The Original Topps Trading Card Series doesn’t include are those rock hard pieces of pink gum.
But what’s that you say? You preferred The Empire Strikes Back like everyone else? Don’t worry, there’s a Topps book for all the trading cards from that film too, but at $31 it will cost you a few bucks more. [Amazon via Wink]
