These Are The Best Architectural Images Of The Year

Image Cache: The winners of the 2015 Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards were announced last week as part of the the World Architecture Festival — and the results are predictably stunning.

The image above, shot by Fernando Guerra, took first prize. It shows the vibrant orange, yellow and green hues of the EPFL Quartier Nord, a new mixed-use building in Ecublens in Switzerland, a building created by Richter Dahl Rocha & Associés.

Elsewhere, the image directly below won the Buildings In Use category. Captured by Tan Lingfrei, the soaring composition shows the Yick Cheong Building in Hong Kong’s Quarry Bay.

This shot, below, of the Atelier Deshaus-designed Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai, captured by Su Shengliang, won the Interiors category. It’a moody, monochrome view into a building whose lines are strong and simple.

An external shot of the same building (below), also by Su Shengliang, also won the Exteriors category. Here, the same curved arches look brighter, but no less striking.
