Rdio Will Be Cancelling Subscriptions Starting Tomorrow

Briefly: As you’ve probably heard if you’re an Rdio user, the music-streaming service is shuttering its doors. The fate of the company’s assets is clear — sold for $US75 million to Pandora — but the wind-down process has now been outlined.

Effective the 23rd November, Rdio will stop accepting new subscriptions, and begin cancelling new accounts. Users’ accounts will remain active for however long they have paid for. The service will be winding down “in the coming weeks”, with the ad-supported free version remaining available to everyone for that time.
