We’re Finally Getting A Classic Rogue Action Figure, And She Looks Fantastic

Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Infinite line has given us some amazing superhero toys over the years — but a modern take on Rogue’s classic Jim Lee design has eluded the series for 12 years, and there hasn’t been a new Rogue full stop since 2006. That’s about to change however, in the best possible way.

Hasbro’s NYCC reveals continue to chug along, and no sooner than we’re done ogling new Star Wars goodies are we away being treated to new Marvel delights. The company officially unveiled it’s next line of 6″ Legends Infinite figures, dubbed Civil War to tie in with the release of Captain America: Civil War in Spring next year. Although it carries the Civil War name, the figures all comic books rather than the movie: There’s Mockingbird, Sharon Carter, and the villains Scourge, Taskmaster, Whirlwind, and Cottonmouth. You can check them out in the images below:

But the real news is the announcement that next year will see the release of an all-new wave of figures based on the X-Men: and that finally, Classic Rogue is getting her due. Back when Toy Biz made the Marvel Legends figures, Rogue appeared in a box set alongside her fellow X-Men Beast , Gambit, and Wolverine, as well as Magneto — and although Hasbro did make a figure of the character in 2006, it was based on her uniform from the Exiles comic book, rather than her classic appearance. She’s not been seen since, so it’s been a heck of a wait for this figure — but it’s definitely worth it:

Seriously, this might be one of the best figures Hasbro has done for Marvel Legends, at least when it comes to adapting a classic comic design and giving it some modern sensibilities. If only we hadn’t had to wait over a decade to get it!

No other details about the X-Men line were revealed, except that the series will feature the classic version of the X-Men villain Onslaught as a build-a-figure bonus for purchasing every toy in the wave — so now it’s just a waiting game until fans of all things Rogue can get their hands on this hotly-anticipated figure.
