UE Speakers Now Let Three People DJ At Once

Ultimate Ears make some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy and now they have just added a neat feature which makes them even more sociable: you can now have up to three people sharing songs trough the same speaker at once.

UE’s updated its apps today to include a new feature called Block Party, which allows up to three different people to sling music at a UE BOOM 2, UE ROLL or UE MEGABOOM at the same time. Depending on your friends, sharing control of the playlist will either make your gathering far more enjoyable or cause it to descend into bloodshed. But at least you now have the option.

UE has also today updated the UE MEGABOOM with the external controls of the Boom 2. Now, when you hold the large speaker in your hand and give it a slap on top, it will start playing. Slap it twice, and it will skip to the next track. A single slap while it’s playing shuts the sound off. It’s a neat trick, which we liked on the Boom 2 and is a welcome addition to its larger sibling.

Both features will start working as if by magic with the update of UE’s apps, which should roll out for Android and iOS today.
