Apple Pulls WatchOS 2 Update

Both iOS 9 and Apple WatchOS 2 were pushed out to Apple users late last night, but this morning, the update for Watch is nowhere to be found. Turns out Apple has pulled the update due to a bug.

Developers on Twitter reported that the GM release of WatchOS 2 drained the wearable’s battery dramatically compared to the beta releases.

The last-minute issue forced Apple to delay the release of WatchOS 2, with no timeline as to when the problem would be fixed.

Apple told us in a statement:

“We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly.”

The delay in Watch OS 2 hasn’t affected the roll-out of iOS 9, which is available right now.
