This Is How Fast You Can Reload Nerf’s New 110kph Rival Blasters

When foam balls are whizzing past your head at 110 kilometres per hour, the last thing you want is to run out of ammo. So for its new Rival line, not only did Nerf redesign its foam ammunition, it also redesigned how you reload the magazines so it’s now much, much faster.

Leading up to their official release, Nerf has been releasing videos of its upcoming Rival line showing off the first two blasters that will be available: the Zeus MXV 1200, and the Apollo XV-700. But the most recent video gives more of a behind-the-scenes look at the four-year development of the new blasters, as well as a demonstration of the brilliant new reloading system Nerf has come up with.

With a long enough clip you can actually grab Rival ammo right off the floor, in the heat of battle, without having to remove the magazine from your blaster first. So you’ll spend less time scrambling to reload, and more time pumping tiny foam balls into your friends’ chests. [YouTube via Blaster Labs]
