Watch The OnePlus 2 Launch In Virtual Reality At 12midday AEST

Proud owner of an Android phone and a Google Cardboard VR headset? Spectacularly bored on for your Tuesday lunchtime? Then you’ll probably want to watch OnePlus unveil its latest flagship killer, through the glorious (and only slightly gimmicky) medium of virtual reality.

To livestream the launch, you’ll want to download the OnePlus 2 Launch App (Android only), and fire it up at 12midday AEST, when the phone is set to be unveiled. OnePlus is promising a “new way to think about a product launch”, complete with promised VR Easter Eggs.

Thanks to a plethora of leaks in the last few days, we already know most of what’s likely to be announced: a $US450 phone with Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB (!) of RAM, 13MP optically stabilised camera, and a fingerprint sensor.

If you don’t have a VR viewer handy, you’re not completely out in the cold: there’s a boring, 2-D, regular reality launch lifestream also built into the app.
