Use Filta To Search The People You Follow On Twitter

If you’re looking for people with a specific set of skills or in a particular location then the list of folks you’re following on Twitter is a good place to start. Filta makes it easy for you to scour this list with a couple of clicks. It’s the kind of useful feature Twitter should have built into its apps by now.

Getting started with Filta isn’t difficult: Head to the website, give it your Twitter credentials, and you’re good to go. Type a search term in the box to the left and you’ll get back hits from account bios and locations. Click Save this search or hit Enter if you want to get back to the same list of results at some point in the future.

Here are a few ways you might want to use Filta: To locate photographers you’ve previously taken an interest in, to see who you know who lives in San Francisco, or to connect with people working in the same industry as you. It all depends on the information in the person’s bio being accurate of course, but it’s still a useful web app to have to hand.
