There’s A Game Of Thrones Colouring Book For Adults Coming Out Later This Year

Ever wondered when The Winds Of Winter is coming out? The increasingly delayed sixth book in George R. R. Martin’s A Song Of Ice And Fire series is apparently a high priority for the fantasy author, but not enough of a priority that he’s dropping everything else to get it done. Before the next instalment of Game Of Thrones, you’ll first see George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones Coloring Book.

Coming out through Bantam and Penguin Random House, the 96-page colouring book will be out before the end of October this year. It’s apparently a colouring book for adults, with “45 original black and white illustrations, inspired by characters, scenes, locations and other iconic images” from the series.

Importantly, it’ll follow the lore of the book series rather than the Game Of Thrones TV show, so expect to see characters like Jon Connington and fake Aegon Targaryen between its pages. Knowing ASOIAF, too, there’ll be a goodly amount of gore and rended flesh and blood for you to colour red and black. Better get ready to crack out the Derwents, then.

Hands up if you’d just prefer more Ice And Fire words rather than pretty pictures to colour in. Or hands up if you’d prefer to just do it online. [Penguin Random House]
