An ultra-rare, ultra-gigantic geomagnetic storm last night had people seeing Northern Lights as far south as Georgia. But from his perch at the International Space Station, astronaut Scott Kelly captured pretty much the most amazing aurora borealis shots ever.
Kelly is spending the year on the ISS while his twin brother Mark stays behind on Earth to learn the effects of living in space. He’s already shared plenty of incredible views he’s witnessed. But even he admitted that last night’s aurora was something special.
