Microsoft’s Digital Assistant Cortana Is Likely Headed To Android, iOS

Microsoft’s answer to Siri is powerful and increasingly pervasive. Now, reports Reuters, the company is working on an advanced version “using research from an artificial intelligence project called ‘Einstein’”, and it’s set to appear on Android and iOS.

Exact details of project Einstein remain unclear. But the new version of Cortana will, according to “people familiar with the project”, first appear on Windows 10 in the fall. Later, the report claims, it will be available as a standalone app for Windows Phone — but also iOS and Android. Given Microsoft’s take on the digital assistant is so advanced, its arrival on other devices could ruffle feathers. Even if it is pretty creepy. [Reuters]
