CEO Of Aussie Bitcoin Business Independent Reserve Killed In Thailand

Victorian Adam Tepper, CEO of Bitcoin trading platform Independent Reserve, was killed in a motorcycle accident last week while in Phuket.

According to articles from the Sydney Morning Herald and the ABC, Tepper collided with a trailer while riding a motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet at the time, with the resulting head injuries proving fatal.

Reports state he had nothing in his possession at the time of the accident, delaying his identification by “several days”. The incident occurred last Wednesday; Tepper passed away the next day.

Independent Reserve CTO Adrian Przelozny posted the following update on the company’s website yesterday:

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you of the death of Adam Tepper.

A funeral for Adam will be held in Melbourne, on Friday the 6th of March.
All Independent Reserve functions will continue to operate without disruption.

A second post by Przelozny mentions that Tepper was writing a book on Bitcoin, aimed at the layperson and that the Bitcoin Association of Australia is accepting donations to see the book published.
