Which App Is The Last You’d Delete Off Your Phone?

I deleted an app off my phone today. But there are some I’d never part with. What’s the one app you couldn’t do without?

I download, test, and delete apps regularly; it’s part of the whole tech writer thing. There are some I’d have a hard time parting ways with: The Slack app lets me stay in touch with work when I’m away from my computer, so it’s an essential. Spotify makes going to the gym so much more bearable when I know I can stream what I want that it’s hard to imagine why I’d ever banish it.

And a world without immediate access to the collected Instagram feeds of the Kardashian-Jenners is not one I would voluntarily choose to create for myself.

But narrowing it down to just one app in this cruel hypothetical is tough. Even though the company often uses dirtbag tactics, the convenience of having the ability to call an Uber car has been pretty stellar this shitty, slushy winter, so until the weather gets nicer (and Lyft comes to Toronto) that might be the one I’d choose above all others, as guilty as it makes me feel to admit it.

What about you guys? If you could only keep one app on your phone, which one would it be?
