Microsoft’s Terry Myerson made the announcement with a vision of a more unified Windows — a world where asking “What version are you running” no longer makes sense. Giving everybody the latest version for free sounds like a good start. “We need our work in the hands of our customers,” he said. Now if he’d only tell us when it will be in our hands.
