Black Mirror’s Christmas Special Imagines Blocking People In Real Life

Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker’s brilliant techno-dystopian anthology series, has both three-episode seasons available to stream on Netflix. If you haven’t watched it yet, it’s a worthwhile but disturbing holiday binge. And now there’s a new addition to the unsettling show: A 90-minute holiday special called “White Christmas” starring Jon Hamm debuted yesterday.

“White Christmas” looks like a classic addition to the anthology, a feature-length meditation on what it’d be like if people had the ability to block each other in real life. Black Mirror expertly satirizes modern technology, and this should be a chilling installation. Unfortunately, it’s not available on Netflix yet, so you’ll have to look for less reputable ways to watch it. I can’t wait to see it.
