New Year’s Eve is a spectacular night in Sydney — we go all out when it comes to the fireworks and light shows across the Sydney Harbour, Opera House and the rest of the city. There’s one issue — if you want something a little more exciting than sitting in front of a TV, it can be a little hard to find a good view.
Lining up at the Botanical Gardens, crowding around Circular Quay or any other public vantage point around the harbour is an absolute guessing game, though. If you’re going to throw a party anyway, why not pool a bit of cash with your friends and hire out an Airbnb rental?

Airbnb has put together a quick list of what it says are the 10 best rentals for watching fireworks in Sydney Harbour this upcoming New Year’s Eve. Some of them are already booked out, but if you use these locations as a starting point you might be able to grab a bargain for seeing through the New Year.
They’re arranged in order of expense, but if you want to jump straight to the bottom you’ll find yourself in a plush-as Kirribilli pad for the bargain price of $1000 per night. Not too bad a price when you consider that Sydney’s top NYE fireworks-viewing real estate will set you back $40,000 for three days.
