By this stage, we have a pretty good idea of what Google’s Nexus 6 will look like and what fancy silicon innards it will be packing. And, according to the latest round of supposed leaked benchmarks, those innards can walk the walk.
The folks at PhoneArena noticed that a certain ‘motorola shamu’ has shown up in the Geekbench performance benchmarks, putting up numbers right on par with what you’d expect from a gigantic new Nexus flagship. According to the alleged tests, the Nexus 6 trails behind the iPhone 5s and 6 when it comes to single-core performance, but it smokes the competition when it comes to multi-core results, posting a score of 3199 to the iPhone 6’s 2927.
All that lends credence to the leaked specs we’ve got wind of so far: a Snapdragon 805 processor running the show, powering a QHD display, would likely post results in line with these leaked Geekbench results. In any case, we have (hopefully!) just a couple of weeks of blurry photos and leaked stats left until we can get our hands on the real deal. [Phone Arena]
