Bose’s SoundTouch Wireless Systems Now Have Deezer Streaming Built In

A few weeks ago, fabled streaming music service Deezer finally made its way to America exclusively on Sonos systems, and exclusively in the form of its new, CD-quality Deezer Elite. Today, Bose gets in on the action too.

Bose SoundTouch music systems now come with a Deezer Premium account baked in, so that you don’t even need to sign up to get started. Deezer Premium is an unlimited, on-demand streaming deal very similar to the offerings from Spotify, Beats, et al.

Deezer thinks it’s got something no one else does though. It’s become the second-biggest subscription music service in the world, and it’s built that popularity largely through offering a product that’s tailored to specific markets. For example, it makes sure to lock up lots regional music in different countries. The goal with the Bose integration is to try to tap all of the people who might be into streaming music, but can’t be bothered to sign up for yet another internet product account. And admittedly, it’s pretty slick to just have access to great streaming music as a consequence of setting up your Bose SoundTouch.

Better yet, the Bose system also comes with a promotional monthly price of $US5, which is half the regular price when Deezer launches more broadly in the future. We’ve been hearing about Deezer for years from Europe, looks like we’ll finally get a chance to hear what all the fuss is about. [Deezer]
