Apple Pay is set to launch on October 20. So if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, and you’re in the US, you’ll be able to pay for some of your shopping on your phone as soon as next week.
Tim Cook described how Apple Pay will work in greater detail than before, confirming earlier reports that Apple Pay features deep integration with banks. Apple Pay will be built into Passbook, and it will work online and in-app.
“It’s easy, it’s secure, and, yes, it’s a private way to pay for things,” Cook said. “We think it’s going to be profound.”
