Lenovo Tab S8: Skinny, Cheap And Surprisingly OK

Lenovo Tab S8: Skinny, Cheap And Surprisingly OK

Now everyone owns a tablet it’s a little harder to get excited by a new offering from Lenovo — but its new Tab S8 is super-skinny, reasonably specced and, best of all, pretty damn cheap.

The 8-inch device offers a seven-hour battery life, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1,920 x 1,200 screen, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core Intel Atom processor. (In fact, it’s the first Lenovo tablet to use an Intel chip.) It runs an unskinned version of Android 4.4 KitKat, weighs 0.65 pounds and is 0.31 inches thick. So, solid, then; respectable, you might say. And, perhaps the best bit, it will only cost $US200 (we’re chasing the Australian price).

So even if it isn’t exciting, it is at least pretty cheap. [Lenovo]
