When he’s not making life miserable for the Rebellion in his custom TIE Fighter, Darth Vader must surely spend his days cruising around the Death Star in this awesome life-size Hot Wheels vehicle bearing his unmistakeable likeness.
Hot Wheels turned a C5 Corvette into this ode to the Sith for this year’s Comic-Con, starting in just a few days, complete with glowing red lightsaber trim, matching wheels, and a top speed of 130km/h. The coolest part, though, is that Star Wars fans can actually buy one of their own — kind of.
The Vadermobile will be made available to fans, but as a pint-sized Hot Wheels collectible for $US40 that comes packed in a see-through lightsaber display case inside a collector’s box. So you can still show it off and make your friends jealous, you just can’t drive it, which is really too bad, because with at least 385 forcepower under the bonnet, this would have made great time on the Kessel Run.
