We’ve all got a few embarrassing videos of our younger selves. I swear there’s a video of me dancing to Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust somewhere. Ruslan Kogan has a pretty embarrassing video from his childhood where he gave being a TV reporter a shot.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like this breathtaking news report went to air on Seven News. Instead, it was a fun little stunt that Channel Seven put on at the Melbourne Show back in the 1990’s.
According to Kogan, his mum took him along to the booth for a bit of media training, and this was the finished product.
It’s weird that he calls himself Ross Kogan in his sign-off, though. He says that it’s because the person managing the booth couldn’t spell Ruslan.
@trevorlong The lady at the teleprompter asked “What?” 5 times when I said “Ruslan” and couldn’t spell it so I settled for “Ross” 🙂
