Nokia has just announced an update to its first Android handset. The X2 is brightly coloured, cheerfully specced, cheap, and it even accepts dual SIMs.
Weighing in at $US135 or so off-contract, you might not expect much from this evolution. But in fact the specs aren’t too bad: you get a 4.3-inch WVGA ClearBlack LCD screen, dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 chip, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, microSD expansion of up to 32GB, 5MP camera, VGA front-facer, dual SIM slots and a removable 1800mAh battery. At launch in July it will be available in glossy green, orange and black, but yellow, white and matte dark grey offerings will come later in the year.
Australian pricing and availability has not yet been announced. [Nokia]
