The first handset out of Motorola’s stable since it snuggled up with Lenovo, the expected launch of this week’s Moto E handset is a big deal for the company. So it will probably be a bit miffed that serial leaker EvLeaks has popped the first images of the handset online already, ahead of any meticulously planned launch.
Looking much like the Moto G (and expected to land at a price point even cheaper than that of its budget predecessor), it too looks set to land in a range of colour options, with turquoise and lemon yellow on display in the leaked photo. It’s likely that Motorola will offer a range of colourful cases for the Moto E too, just as it did with the G, and could also offer the Moto Maker customisation options also.
As for the tech specs, the handset looks likely to launch with a 1.2Ghz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch screen, Android KitKat 4.4 and a 5MP camera. If it can land at a price point lower than that of the Moto G did, as appears to be the plan, it could be a very attractive option for buyers on a budget. [EvLeaks via IntoMobile]
