Until Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came along, The Temple of Doom was considered the least enjoyable of the Indiana Jones films — due in no small part to the dinner scene involving baby snakes, and chilled monkey brains served in their own skulls. A meal you can finally serve at home, or at least a close facsimile thereof, using these faux monkey head bowls.
At almost $US60, it makes for one expensive bowl, even though it does look a lot like the props used in the original film — complete with wiry hair. But if you’ve ever priced a full-grown monkey, you’ll know that this is actually a pretty affordable alternative. It even comes with a matching skull cap lid if your guests don’t finish their chilled monkey brains and they need to be re-refrigerated. [Firebox]
