Toyota is performing what it calls a “preventative recall” on a few hundred thousand of its cars, including the Hilux and the Yaris.

Here’s Toyota on what needs to be recalled.

179,000 current generation Hilux vehicles built between April 2004 and December 2009

118,600 previous generation Yaris 3 and 5-door hatchbacks and Yaris sedan vehicles built between June 2005 and May 2010.

The faults relate to issues in the steering column, wiring harnesses and seat railings of the above vehicles.

Toyota says you’ll still be able to drive your vehicle, but if you experience issues locking your seat in place, you should definitely give your local dealer a call for an inspection. [Business Insider]
