Someone Is Selling Their WA Senate Vote On eBay

For sale: one (1) democracy, slightly used.

That’s right: for the high price of just 50 cents, someone will sell you their vote for in the upcoming Western Australian Senate election on eBay.

WA residents have to return to the polls on Saturday after a huge foul-up saw the Australian Electoral Commission lose a few hundred votes from various polling stations.

Everyone’s back in hardcore campaign mode out West, and clearly one member of the WA constituency is fed up with having to think for themselves.

So if you’ve ever wanted to pervert the course of democracy in an already troubled electoral process, here’s your chance.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, this is hella illegal. [eBay via r/australia]
