Image compositing is a common practice in digital art and advertising. But the crazy extent of it is often completely invisible. Like the image above, which is made of a few dozen separate pictures. This GIF — posted to Reddit — peels back the layers of one meticulously crafted scene.
The finished image is the work of Ukranian photo studio Positive Pictures, who created it as an ad for the company Volia Cable.
It’s amazing, the amount of layers actually used to construct the final image. It even makes you wonder if so many separate images were even necessary, but you can’t argue with the seamlessness of the result.
