Riding mowers and ATVs can cost as much as a decent used car, but expensive or not, they’re a must-have accessory if you have to maintain a large piece of property. So a company called Raven has created the MPV7100S, which combines both into a single vehicle — with added functionality that also turns it into a mobile workshop.
The MVP7100S comes with a removable 117cm wide mowing deck that allows it to clear a large lawn or field at a top speed of 10km/h. And a tight turning radius of just 36cm also means you can still trim those tight corners and easily manoeuvre around flower beds.
With the cutting blades removed, the MVP1700S then becomes an ATV with a top speed of 27km/h and the ability to tow somewhere in the neighbourhood of 450kg. But that’s not all. Underneath the driver’s seat you’ll find a 7100-watt generator powered by the vehicle’s 420cc petrol engine, which allows you to bring and use any electric power tools as far as you can drive.
Pricing and availability aren’t set in stone yet, but as long as it’s cheaper than buying both a riding mower and an ATV, this could be a great way for outdoor enthusiasts to have their cake and eat it too. [Raven America via Uncrate]
