Everyone’s an arsehole deep down. We like to gossip, whine and complain, and talk shit. You’re wrong if you think I’m not talking about you, too. And, thanks to a new trend in anonymous apps, you have an outlet for all your rumour-spreading and bellyaching.
Maybe it makes you a little bit of an jerk, but it’s also pretty fun. Here’s a guide to embracing your dark side:
WUT
What does it do?
Sends out short, random messages without the sender’s identity.
What kinds of creeps is it for?
The ones who have short statements to make that are too weird for Twitter.
Whisper
What does it do?
Overlays anonymous meme-like messages on sometimes unrelated photos of random crap.
What kinds of creeps is it for?
The teen kinds, as one can surmise from even a short perusal of the bubble letter fonts and melodramatic tales of Whisper.
Confide
What does it do?
Lets you send someone a message that expires after it’s closed. Text is hidden by orange blocks, and you have to drag your finger across the screen to see it. So kinda Snapchat for text.
What kinds of creeps is it for?
Coward-arse bitches who are too afraid to say something to your face.
Popcorn Chat
What does it do?
Lets you chat anonymously with strangers within one mile of you.
What kinds of creeps is it for?
The kinds of creeps who want new friends and are nostalgic for Chatroulette.
