Sony’s Xperia G A ‘Flagship Design With Mediocre Specs’

At least according to ViziLeaks, the Twitter account that recently posted photos of what it claims is Sony’s unreleased Xperia G. Essentially, it looks to be a mid-range device in an upper-class chassis, which isn’t surprising given the announcement of the high-end Z1 Compact last month.

ViziLeaks released two photos of the supposed handset, one with the phone by itself and the other comparing it to the Z1. The text accompanying the images suggests the Xperia G will have a 4.8-inch display, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage, as well as LTE capability and an 8MP camera.

Jake Smith over at Pocket-Lint believes the device could be the Sony D5103 model that recently appeared in online benchmarks, which point to a hardware configuration that’ll include a 1280 x 720 screen and Snapdragon 400 processor.
