He might have favoured email over physical post, but a document obtained by The Washington Post suggests that Steve Jobs’s face is set to appear on a US Postal Service stamp in 2015.
The document suggests that Jobs is one in a list of US icons to appear on stamps that year, including Elvis Presley and Johnny Carson. It’s unclear which image of Jobs will be used though; the report doesn’t go that far.
Images on US stamps are typically selected by an advisory committee of ordinary citizens, and they’re supposed to be “contemporary, timely, relevant, interesting and educational”. Clearly, if the rumour is true, Jobs fits that bill. [Washington Post via Engadget]
