A team of security researchers just stumbled across a massive cache of two million login credentials for sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn and ADP payroll. Shockingly, a large number of the passwords were overwhelmingly dumb.
Like “123456” dumb.
Guys. We’ve been over this again and again. It’s a really bad idea to choose something obvious — like “123456” — for your password. Hackers read these security research reports too, and they know how stupidly popular these stupid passwords are. You might as well give them a little bit of a challenge by crafting something clever.
