Nokia’s Lumia 525: A 520 With (Slightly) Beefed Up Specs

Nokia has just quietly announced the arrival of its new Lumia 525 handset. It looks remarkably similar to the 520 — but beneath its skin lurk some (slightly) bumped up hardware specs.

There’s a 4-inch WVGA display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 8GB of storage and now 1GB of RAM. The rear-facing camera retains the same 5-megapixel sensor though, and there’s still no front-facer. The phone will ship in black, white, orange and yellow (though you can chop and change, thanks to the outer shell being removable).

The phone will initially be available in Singapore on December 14 for about $200, before it spreads through the rest of the world. [Nokia via Engadget]
