The Relative Screen Resolutions Of Your Favourite Devices In One Chart

The display on your phone is relatively tiny. But in pixels, it’s friggin’ huge. That’s the beauty of high resolution. So how would that phone screen compare to your TV, or your tablet or your laptop if it was spread out to a similarly-sized screen? Doghouse Diaries made this graphic to show you, and it’s kind of nuts.

The chart turns up some pretty weird revelations. The Galaxy S4, for instance, is basically an HD TV shrunk down to five inches. And the 6th Gen, squarish little iPod Nano? Its itty-bitty 1.5-inch screen would still look better than an old Apple II even if you stretched it out to 10 times the size.

But what this lovely little visualisation really shows off is the totally absurdity of a 4K display; it blows literally everything else totally out of the water. More importantly, practically everything you lay eyes on these days is miles and miles beyond displays of yesteryear. You’ll never take your pixel-packed screens for granted again.
