Last month, we learned that Sonos was brewing up the Play:1, a new, smaller wireless speaker. Sonos still hasn’t said anything official about it, but that hasn’t stopped it from showing up on the shelves of a US retailer.
As a tipster told The Verge, the speakers appeared at Target stores in the US with a $US200 price tag, but they couldn’t be purchased — they’re listed as no-sell until October 13. So we still don’t know much more than what the US FCC leak tells us, namely that this is a smaller, single-speaker unit probably meant for bookshelf or computer use, and it will pair wirelessly with Playbar and other Sonos devices.
