Looks like we’re going to go a bit of a spell without a Motor Show, Australia.
Organisers have pulled the plug on the 2014 Sydney International Motor Show following a reported lack of interest from car manufacturers.
A slew of manufacturers weren’t present at the last Sydney Motor Show, citing a desire to spend their budgets elsewhere for the year. Many luxury car manufacturers had previously shunned the show.
The news follows the Melbourne Motor Show which would have run this week, however, a lack of support also saw it put on hold also.
This isn’t the end for the Motor Show in Australia, according to AIMS organisers: they’re just considering “new formats” for the years ahead. [SMH]
